Starting September 2012, I was able to work at BlackBerry as an Industrial Design intern for 1 year. As an intern I was able to help ideate and develop accessories for the upcoming generation of BlackBerry 10 handheld devices. I was also able to work on both the UX and Industrial Design of a conceptual project developed around secure access in corporate environments.

My role as an Industrial Design intern was to provide support to the industrial design team in terms of development and ideation of audio products, soft and hard shells, upcoming accessories, prototyping, 3D CAD modelling and rendering and market research.

I was also able to provide support for research presentations, CMF (colours, materials, finishes) documentation, as well as assist in the communication and quality control with the overseas prototype company

The last few months of my internship were spent designing a conceptual hardware-software secure access system for corporate environments. A holistic approach to this project meant that I was able to work on the Industrial Design and UX Design of the project
